Love, Love, Love

Parents do all kinds of things in the name of love….not all good for their children.

Love is not enough.

But there is a kind of love that is absolutely necessary for successful unschooling, and that is love of learning.

Unschoolers value learning. We look for it everywhere. We crave it.

But, love it gently.┬áDon’t try to force it – not a good idea for learning OR love!

Thanks for participating in the Unschooling Blog Carnival, Pam! :)

It really is awful the way parents say, “I do this because I love you.” then they do something not loving, not respectful, etc. It’s kind of like some kind of “Pass” that lets a parent off the hook when they should have really LOOKED at the situation and acted in a kind and loving way.

Anyway, I like the post, Pam. Thanks!
